Sensory-Motor Integration

An Information Day for parents, teachers and health workers
Saturday April 20 2002, 9.30am - 4.30pm

Many children and adults with difficulties on the dyspraxia-dyslexia-ADHD-Aspergers-autism spectrum struggle to process sensory input and respond with appropriate action. A variety of functional disturbances in the central nervous system can interfere with learning, coordination and social development. This day aims to explore some approaches which address these disturbances.

Talks and demonstrations/workshops to be given by guest speakers on the following topics:

• Neuro-developmental therapy / primitive reflex inhibition
• Sound therapy
• Behavioural optometry (optometric vision therapy)
• Brain Gym
